Yan's Birthday dinner (28.02)
On Wednesday, Yan - Tessa's buddy at SMU - invited us to a traditional Chinese Steamboat Dinner to celebrate her birthday. This was a great evening with lots of fun. The salad you see on the picture is very typical for Chinese New Year - first you put all the ingredients on a plate and then all of us started mixing the salad with our chopsticks. It was important to put the salad as high up in the air as possible, while shouting "haja haja" in order to be lucky in the next year :)) Great fun, I can tell you ...
Martin, Peji and me sitting at the table full of food ...
This is the Steamboat. It is filled with soup and we could just put seafood, vegetables, eggs etc. in to cook ...
So, here you see the whole round ... very nice people :)
Finally, that's Yan cutting her birthday cake - actually a cake made of ice cream. Of course we also sang her Austrian birthday songs and so did her Chinese friends. As there was so much of the cake, we played games at the end and the looser had to eat another piece :) We were even crying because we were laughing so much :)
